This photo shows the fourth VFD Hall to serve James Bay. Known to members as the 'house of many doors' - deservedly - it replaced a temporary war time hall situated in a former residence. By the 1960s, it was obvious that the VFD needed a more substantive presence in the district, but this hall wouldn't be replaced until the 1990s.
